Its been a year since i last update my blog. Cobwebs are everywhere in my blog. hehehehe.....I'm just too lazy to update my blog.

So today, I put away my laziness for awhile, just to share with my dear friends something that i bought from Daiso. I find it useful especially to keep my HDT and ribbons. I think, its a bit costly but i still purchase it every week when i go to Diaso (buy 2 packets each time, so don't feel the pinch. hehehe....). Just for info, Daiso also sells threads which i think it can use for tatting. Its have size 20 and 40. Also they have a wide selection of craft making.

Manage to complete another WIP, Clover Leaf Doily by Linda S Davies. I used the thread, Altin Basak that Ulla gave me. Thanks Ulla for the threads. I havent't block it yet cos i find it abit difficult, my edgings are curly-wurly. Is it becos of my chains n rings are too tight. But will try again to block it.

OK la for now. Need to take a rest, can only do light stitching cos recently i had tennis elbow. Mayb mine shud be call stitching or FB elbow. Ouch!!!

Time Flies - March 2010

Phew! Its already the month of March, quarter of the year. Time really flies. This year my son will be sitting for his SPM exams and I'm having jitters, cold feet, butterflies in the stomach......funny ye, he sits for the exam and me having all tis.

Lately I have not been stitching much. Why, eh? Well, in early January 2010, my hubby manage to secure a Kiosk (not petrol kiosk, tak mampu) at JB Sentral, Johor Baru selling foodstuffs like sweets, candies, biscuits, dried and preserved fruits etc etc(some of the foodstuffs are pack by tis beautiful fingers. hehehe.....prasan). It operates from 8am til 10pm.

The kiosk is run by my eldest doter and a friend during the weekdays. So during the weekends, my hubby and me will take care of it. And sometimes my youngest doter and son will help out. So for those who are passing by, feel free to stop at our Kiosk No.7.

So when I'm there, I'll bring along my Tatting stuff. So I manage to finish tis piece of 2009 wip. Hope to finish more of my WIPssssss.

It's the Arches doily using the Flora Size 20. The pattern is by Marilee, the Yarnplayer.

Here's a little bit of JB Sentral.
JB Sentral is like KL Sentral, but bigger i think. (Have to check it out).JB Sentral is located near Jalan Tun Abd Razak. It is located near to Johor Bahru Customs Immigration Quarantine Complex(CIQ) and the Sultan Iskandar Complex. It is also located near to Johor Bahru City Square (there is a bridge in between the two buildings). So whoever takes a bus to Singapore or taking a bus from Singapore will definitely pass thru JB Sentral.

HAPPY NEW YEAR. HAPPY NEW YEAR.
Hope the year 2010 will be a better year for all.

When the whole nation or rather the whole world was busy ushering into the new year with fireworks and shows, I was busy too. Hehehe..... not Birthday dinner. My birthday dinner was celebrated on the eve of my birthdate. My hubby brought us to a Italian restaurant called El Migos. The food was superb. Thanks, dear husband and children for the beautiful dinner.

OOooops! got carried away. Actually, I was busy sorting out the threads to launch my 1st 2010 crossstitch. OK!OK! I know I have a few wips not completed, but i just can't resist to stitch tis beautiful chart. Its so so beautiful. I have been aiming for tis chart for sometime now and finally decided to purchase it online with the help of my dear friend. Thanks Sal.

Its just concidence that it arrive on my birthday, and well, i thought i was just nice to start my New year. (excuses excuses) hehehe....

So will show it off in my next posting. Till then Happy New Year and happy stitching and crafting to all my friends.

A time to Relax........

Hello everyone!

I have been pretty busy for the past few months, no time to do any craft work. Wait!wait! just wonder, busy but still have time to play games on the Facebook. Hehehe.....Release Stress.

But today i have a little update on my tatting. Recently, i have received a skein of HDT from Zarina. It was so kind and generous of her. Anyway, it gave me a good excuse to de-tour awhile from my busy-ness and try out tis thread.

It is called Orchid Garden and size 50. Nice and beautiful colour. Phew! will purchase size 20 the next time. Anyone interest to purchase the HDT, can viewed at Zarina's blog. She have got nice colours of HDT.

The top pattern is called Melur and its from Jon's latest tatting book. The 2nd piece is called FeatherLine, and u can get the pattern from Jon's blog.

SeLaMaT HaRi Raya

Phew! Time passes by so fast. Its already a week of the Raya celebration. Hope everyone have enjoyed and will enjoy themselves during tis festive season.

To all my friends who have sent me wishes/greetings, i wish to say Thank You. I'm sorry for not replying to all your smses, emails & blog wishes. Mungkin tidak terlambat untuk saya mengucapkan selamat menyambut hari raya aidil fitri kepada semua. Andaikata, ada tersilap kata, terkasar bahasa, saya menyusun sepuluh jari memohon maaf kepada semua. Maaf zahir batin.

Have been busy busy since a week before the Ramadhan month, stretch up to the 1st week of Syawal month. And i'll be even busier till the month of December.

I really miss all my hobbies. Hope i can take a break in between my busy-ness to do abit of crossstitching or tatting.

Once, again to all, Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Fitri.

Butterflies!Butterflies

Last month i participated in an exchange in I-Tatters. Tis is my 1st time joining the tatting exchange, all tis while its xstitch exchange. (missed the exchange so much......)

Since i do not have any butterfly pattern that is 4inch/12cm big (the criteria of the exchange), i decided to do small butterflies and from tis small butterflies i need to make something big.

Combining my 3 favourite hobbies together (beading, xstitch & tatting) and with my expertise in sewing xstitch ornaments, viola... i did a fob/hanging ornament. The front of the fob is like a 'garden' and the back was 'butterflies are free'.

I used different sizes of threads and colours. It was really a wonderful experience playing all the different colours. I have also used the size 70 thread that Diane gave me. Phew! i need new glasses to tat with tis thread. Using size 70, makes your work looks more delicate n fine. Its beautiful.

Diane is such a generous person. Beside receiving some samples of threads, she also gave me 5 balls of threads. I have not used any of the thread yet, as i just like to admire it for the time being.

Mother"s Day Heart

When i saw tis pattern at Jon's blog, i told myself, can i or can't i tat tis piece. Why???? Becoz' I have always make a point to read & study the instructions first before i decide to tat anything. So after reading, the 3 setbacks that i have is the Shoe Lace trick, making a daisy picot ring and tatting with beads. Never done before. So i decide not to use beads but just do picots. (Phew! luckily i omit the beads, my fingers & threads were all over when doing the daisy picots. Hehehe....)

So, as usual, notes spread out, i give it a try. So here is the end result. I manage to do the daisy picot ring, after a few times of snip, snip, snip. Its still not that pretty but OK la, for 1st timer. The long picots seem to be twisted eventhough i have iron it. But the Shoe Lace trick, I'm not so sure. Tried to read the SLT instruction over & over again, but i seem not able to understand. So I hope that what i did is correct.

Psst: The heart looks better with beads. Must try it someday.

Little Tatting pieces

Learning & mastering another tatting technique called Wrapping a plastic ring with double-stitches. At the initial stage, i had some problems but manage to overcome it. Thanks, Sheila Dutton for sending the cabone rings to me. And for the tutorial, u can go to http://tatsaway.blogspot.com/2007/09/wrapping-plastic-ring-with-double.html. Thanks to Jon, for making the tutorial so easy to understand.

So now both the tatted pieces are in my doter's possession and have to tat another 6 more pieces as she want to make it into a key chain or bookmark, to be given to her teachers for Teacher's Day.

Below is a motif piece. Its a freebie. I have tatted another 3 pieces to make it into a doily. Its a simple pattern and quite fast to complete 1 motif. (but it still takes me a whole day to complete one. hehehe....too many other distractions).

I hope to tat tis motif again but using only white thread and making it into a bigger piece for my coffee table.

Tis is a flower piece called Stargazer Lily. Have tatted 5 pieces, 1 more piece to tat and and join all to get my flower. Its a beautiful piece and I got the pattern from http://www.toptattyhead.blogspot.com/. Such a creative person.

Another CCN??? Hehehe....I'm loving it....Just completed another piece. Its called Summer Garden. I have stitched on a 28ct linen(hand-dyed but not by me la).

As usual, i have made some changes (not much la) in some colours so as to match with the fabric colour. Also, i have never like to stitch animals motifs on my xs. In the chart there is a cat & rabbit. So i stitched an extra plant to replace the rabbit and for the cat, i sew a charm. Just nice that i have a piece of charm called My Garden.

Tatting - SCMR

Yes!Yes!Yes! Mission accomplished. I can do/tat SCMR.

Last nite, with printed copies of How to make a Mock Ring (tutorial from Jon's blog. Thanks Jon, its really helpful), i finally succeeded. So for a start, i did tis pattern since it look simple. Its called Floret from Jon's Snowflakes Collection book.

The outcome is not that nice, i mean my tatting work, but I'm happy with it. I can now tat patterns that have SCMR.

But i have to further do 'autopsy' la. Cos i used 2 different colours, but the turn out was just 1 colour. Why eh? Is it bcos' no switching of shuttles? hehehe.....

Tis is the next piece that i have started. Beautiful. Will talk about it further when i have finished the whole set.

Happpppy!!!!! & Sad???

What a title. hehehe....

Last week i have completed 3 pieces of tatting (2 happy & 1 sad). Really enjoy tatting lately(duh! what happen to my xs wip and my crochet blanket. Will continue again, soon).

1. Carrousel - tis pattern is from Jon's book, Tatted Snowflakes Collection. I used the thread Floretta 10 with 2 shuttles. I tat tis piece bcos i wanted to practise on my Split rings again. And Yesssss, I have managed to do the split rings without any problem. I like the colour, its really bright.

2. Clover & daisies - can't remember where i got tis pattern from. It was shown to me by Ain, when i 1st started to tat, and i told myself that i will do tis piece when i go to the next level (in other words, a bit clever la). For tis piece, i used DMC Cebelia 30, White & yellow. Nice piece.....i am really happy with myself for finishing it.

3. Hearts Entwined - tis pattern is from Jon's blog. I feel there is a mistake somewhere but i just cudn't find it. Why i felt there is a mistake bcos it looks a bit out of shape. Mayb i will re-do another piece.
To Jon, if u are reading my blog, can u see the mistake from the picture. If yes, please let me know.

I have a lot more to learn on tatting. Learning thru the cyber world is not really easy (no reality teacher to teach me). I am having problems in some techniques, and eventhough going thru' the tutorials over and over again, i still can't do it. But am not giving up easily, still trying.

Psssst! the HDT threads are really beautiful. How i wish to own some. And also the different type of shuttles. Will put in my wishlist. Who knows..........:)

Nice piece and nice work (hehehe...). Got tis free pattern from Jon Yusoff's blog. Her tatting pieces are really beautiful. I have used the thread Floretta No.10.

It took me 3 days to complete tis piece. I tought i lost my knowledge on tatting. My fingers were all over again. And there were snip snip snip. But after awhile it was going on the right track again. Tis is also the first time for me, using 2 shuttles.

A Place We Call Home

Wow!I am really becoming a big fan of CCN & LHN. But have to stop purchasing, not bcos of having too many, but to save enuf to purchase the Threadpack sets. hehehe...

I have completed tis chart, a week ago. Its called - A Place We Called Home. I only did some changes in the colour, cos the colour did not blend well with the fabric colour that i have used.

Now i started with another piece, also from CCN. Its called The Flower Shop. Will post the picture, once completed. Anyway,hope to complete it soon. My aim is to complete one CCN/LHN chart, per month (boleh ke). Must be the guilt in me, cos of late i have been purchasing CCN/LHN charts. Also, since they are rather small charts, so mayb can achieve. Wish me Luck.

Tis is another piece of WIP that i am doing during my weekends. Its has got speciality stitches. And I'm loving it. This one is called Secret Garden by Patrica Ann Designs.

xs update - Porcelain Plates

A beautiful piece of blackwork. We can stitched it as a whole set of 10 pieces of plates or just choose any that we like and stitch as single or double plates. I got tis pattern from the magazine New Stitches.

I wanted to complete the whole set, but due to bad time management i only managed to complete 4 pieces of the plate. It is a gift for my eldest sister's birthday. I was really hoping to finish all but, well.......excuses, excuses. hehehe.... I had it framed just 3 days before Hari Raya, so that i wud bring it up during Raya. Maybe will complete the balance for next year birthday or better still just pass the mag to her to complete it herself kan.. hehehe.... boleh kan my sister.

So tis piece is done by me.

Yes, Big Apple have recently open a branch in Johore Barhu. It located at the new Tesco Extra in Plentong JB.

My children were excited when they saw the outlet (mama nye pun excited tp pandai coverline hehe....).

According to Ain, the duren duren flovour is sedap, so we tried it. Agree la ngan Ain, it is sedap, not so sweet. Since it was a big crowd and some of our favourite flavours da abis and tak nak queue up again, we just take saja apa yg ada.

So, apa lagi, mari enjoy.

Ripple - A Baby Blanket

Have finally completed the baby blanket.(baby pun da a few months old. hehehe.) Cantik tak. I used DMC Petra thread as i can't think of any other brand that is cotton. The blanket is bout 32"x36". A small piece je. I used 8 different pastel colours.

At the initial stage, i wanted to do Granny's squares for the blanket but change my mind after going thru some of the members blog in the ripples group. I came across JMK's blog and immediately fell for the piece that she have completed.

As i am not gud in reading crochet instruction, I wrote to JMK to ask for her help. She was so kind to chart out the diagram for me. Thanks JMK.

Also i like to thank Ain, for purchasing the threads for me.

Split Rings

Never like the idea of cut & tie off, when i need to do the next round. Ooopss! me story bout tatting, ok.

So Dania & Ain taught me how to do Split ring. At 1st, i really had a problem, more like getting a split headache but after a few times of tutoring and explanation, on blog, on the phone, i manage to do the Split ring. Happy.....

So i practise to do the Snowflakes that need to do Split rings.

Tadaaaaaaaaaa....... 11th & 17th Day of December. Not that neat la. Ain's 17th December is so so much nicer then mine (jealoue tau. HeHeHe...) But the main thing is i manage to learn to do the Split Ring.

Phew! was quite a relief when i completed the 4th round of the Moms pink doily. Its becoming 'prettier & prettier'.(what a decription)hehehe....

Will not be starting the 5th round yet, as i have to complete some other w.i.p. Cos once if i start the next round, i can't stop.

After completing the tatting piece, i have also finished tis little piece of my wip xs. Tis piece is called 'Spot of Coffee' by LHN.

There is a mistake (jgn pandang dekat2). I only realise it when i have nearly completed the round but i didn't frog cos the mistake is at the starting point. Have to be more careful in the coming rounds.

Mission Possible - Tatting

Phew! at last i finished tis little piece. (with a few mistakes) hehehe...

Not happy with the finishing results, but happy la finally i can tat. I think my tensions are a bit tight, mana tak nye, my fingers were like all over. Lucky the fingers didn't get entangled with each other, only the thread.

Addicted? Hmmmmmmm.....not going to continue with it yet. Just for fun, create a WIP 1st. Hoping to tat a doily someday.(high hopes, huh!)

So now, i have to reverse gear and back to my Project X.

This year, Raya Haji was celebrated at my 2nd sister's house in Enstek. Since me and my 2nd sis's birthday (just 2 days apart) is just round the corner, we both got our bday presents earlier. Neway, we won't know when we will gather again, since the school holidays will be over soon. (my my very fast the time flies)

I didn't know that my eldest sister was doing an xs thingy for me. Cos whenever. i'm at her place, she was doing stitching an xs piece for my 2nd sister. Will show u all the piece, too. My sister ni, her stitching is very very neat. And also a fast stitcher.

Here is mine. A TeaPot cover. Its really beautiful. I tot of just keeping it, sayang nak guna, but i got a lot of "WHAT!" from everyone. Hehehe. Okay will use it, when my sisters come to my place.

Tis is the front of the Tpot cover.

The back of the tpot cover. the back is stitch with beads n small glass flowers.

Tis piece is my 2nd sis nye. Made into a big cushion cover. Since her name starts with Ros..., my eldest sis did a picture of a rose. Real life memang cantik. I forgot to snap the back of the completed fabric, cos of my brother-in-law (her hubby) commented that the back stitches is lagi 'real'. Salute to her cos her stitches are very neat.

And tis is also a gift from my Spore sis besides other gifts that she got for me, too. M Loving it. I have always like Jane Greenoff's books. Got a lot of beautiful pictures in the book. Wow! new WIP????? hehehe.

So just to share some of the stitching gifts that i got. The rest of the gifts are equally beautiful. Thank u, Thank u, my lovely sisters, brother-in-laws, nieces n nephews. And most of all to my dear hubby and childrens. Thank U. Love u all.

After completing my SAL, I need to take a break from xstitching. So I am doing a little piece of crochet for a friend, which actually have been longed overdue. I am using DMC Tradition(White).

I told myself I better complete tis piece before I continue with my xs wip again. My eyes are very tired mayb due to the many backstitch of my xs (or age catching up hehe..). I really do need to get a magnifying glass before i continue with my xs wip which is stitched on linen (excuse). Tis is my 1st time stitching on linen for my a big project.

Well, since December is coming, so must sent out hints to my family members esp my hubby. Hahaha!!

The day before i posted my pinkeep to my partner. And yesterday, i received my pinkeep from the CO herself, Cik Musliha.

Kerja tangan yg sungguh kemas(finishing parlour la di katakan. hehehe). The alphabet and its colour is so very sweet. My doter siap kata, kucing mat salleh sbb mata warna hijau.

Pinkeep Exchange

Today i am happy. Why? Cos i have completed my SAL and have posted out my Pinkeep to my partner.

So to all the members of the Pinkeep exchange, tunggu la bunyi hon postman anda.

To my partner, i hope u like it. Its just a simple picture with beautiful wordings that reflects our friendship. And it will always be treasured.

Phuyoh!!!! Happy giler. My SAL is complete. What a relief.

When i did the last stitch tis morning, i realise that, sleeping late tis few days and doing it early in the morning to complete tis piece(before i start housework ah) really pays off. It is really a beautiful piece.

So to all my stitching buddies, Thank u. Without u all nye sokongan, i might not have done tis piece.

So now i can continue with my other Wips i.e The Token & Gameboard sampler.

Actually, I had always had a problem to get a nice tablecloth for my 'so called coffee table'. I called it my 'so called coffee table', cos it s actually a big pot with a piece of round wood (can't remember where i got the wood). But it fits nicely on the top of the pot.

So tis year raya, i am using the tablecloth that i completed crochet last year (bangga nye). Have to start a new piece now if i plan to use a new one for next raya.(notice the brown pot)

It falls nicely, kan. But i think it is rather big. But nevermind, it save me from buying a new tablecloth. I suppose that's the reason i learn to crochet, so that i can have all tis done by myself.

Pssst...plan to crochet a tablecloth for my dining table, when not sure yet.(bertambah la WIP i)

Just to update my SAL. Am very happy that i manage to complete the 1st shelf within the 3 months period. Ooops!the backstitch is not completed yet, still backstitching. Backstitch, hmmmmmmm really pain in the neck.(da tua kan, mata pun tak nampak sgt). But the outcome of it is beautiful.

Had 2 surprises yesterday.
1st, at 5.45pm a postmen came by, as usual horn and horn. Surprise cos' didn't expect to see any postman after 4.30pm.

2nd, he brought me my mail, i.e my surprised BME. Have been wondering who my partner is and well, yesterday, i got the answer.

Update of my Hardanger

Tadaaaaaaaaaa! I have completed my hardanger, cut,snip & sewn. And most of all, i decorate the Altoid tin(not sure whether my sweet tin is call altoid tin, but doesn't matter, it can be decorated).

Still got to practise more in the hardanger, as there are other stitches that i need to learn. Also, on finishing the item neatly. Will try to do another piece of hardanger, after completing my 1st phase of SAL (very very far behind).

Tis is a picture of my uncomplete/uncut hardanger.

Have always wanted to learn to do hardanger. After receiving my 1st hardanger sachet(thanks to Ros) & encouragement from friends, i decided to give it a try. Not only it is my 1st time doing hardanger, but also my 1st try stitching on linen. (agreed, nice stitching on linen) But now after completing the piece, i have to start cutting. uwaaaaaaaaaaa! Doing my practice, have actually cut of the Perle thread several times. So have to be very careful, as not to spoil the whole piece of work.

Will update again, once i have cut the threads and complete it to an ornament.

If no update, means i have cut the wrong threads. ha!ha!ha

My 1st Pinkeep

Just to get back my stitching mood, i have decided to do a small tool/ornament before i start on my SAL again. (My SAL is really way way way behind everyone else. Ibu, sorry no update on my SAL, will update at the end of the month).

Tis is my 1st try on doing a pinkeep. But am happy with the outcome eventhough got a bit 'cacat' here and there but manage to cover la. According to the tutorial, its fabric, mounting board & batting, but i did the other way, fabric, batting & mounting board. Neway, it still turn out to be a pinkeep.

I didn't put a ribbon on the top of the pinkeep, as i had trouble with adjusting the ribbon. Just wonder how its done. So i end up using pins. Also i have used a different kind of pin, or is tis the normal ones used. here is a picture of the pins. The head of the pin is bigger then the normal pins.

So here it is my Miss Pinkeep.

Cube Exchange

Thought of keeping to myself the cube but kesian to my friends who are waiting anxiously to see it.

Its a beautiful cube, all the sides of the cube have got different Tpots. (Sorry cudn't give a clear picture of all the sides). I have been wanting to stitch tis patterns when i 1st saw it in the mag, but put off the idea cos of too many WIPs. So thanks Ain, for giving me a beautiful cube.

And also not forgetting the beautiful gifts that come along with the cube. Ain gave me a crochet mag (cantik),a cording, a sweet lace and a pretty tote bag. And the tote bag is hmmmmm..... cantik. I think i know how Dania's bebe felt when she received her's from Ain, too.

My two doiles completed, washed & ironed. Both are equally beautiful, ehem! angkat bakul sendiri. hehehe....

Well, hope to do a tablecloth soon. Pattern da ada. But i'll use white thread again, as i have always love to crochet using white threads. Mayb, i'll start again when i need to relaxs myself from my xs.

Hmmmmmmm! Do not know why i just do not have the mood to do any xs stitching. Hope that tis 'no mood virus' will go away soon as i have to continue my SAL. And other wipssssss and exchanges. Syukur, i manage to finish the cube excen before being struck by the virus. hehehe.

Since i can't do any stitching, i decide to crochet. I love to crochet. Just started a piece of doily tis morning. Hope to complete by tomorrow. I have never tried any other colour threads and other brands. Me, always using white or cream brand minlon. Since someone told me that using DMC thread is also nice (but expensive), i decide to try it out.

there is a different in the thread. Minlon is abit furry compare to DMC, if u know what i mean. if tak tahu, nebermind. hahaha. Neway both threads are nice to crochet.
Here is the uncompleted piece. The blue piece is DMC & the coloured thread is from Minlon.

Cube Exchange

Here is a little glimpse of the cube that i have made for our group's Cube exchange. Will show the clear pic when my partner have received it.Or get my partner to show it. hehehe.........

I tot doing the cube wud be easier then a pendibule, but i was wrong. Doing a pendibule is so so much easier. I tried doing sumthing different, as the theme was called 'Surprise Me', but i was really surprise when i completed it. It did not turn out well as I have expected but since it done, i hope my partner will like it.

So to my partner, tunggu your abang postman eh. Have posted it out.

Very Sweet Oleander

Yesterday i went to the framers to collect my framed masterpiece. Actually, i have never frame any of my xs, unless it is for a gift. Also, mayb cos' i do not know where to hang them, as i can't bang much nails on the walls (rented house maa).hehehe

Its such a beautiful picture. very sweet ...... Its a picture by Serendipity Designs called Sweet Oleander. I only realised something when i brought it back. The picture looks a bit empty on the left side. On the chart there was some Chinese characters, which i didn't want to stitch. More to i don't know what the characters meant. I shud have stitched some wordings there,huh.

Anyway its framed, and i loved it. And now to find a place to hang it. hmmmmmmmm....

A beautiful gift for MDSE from Index

I was really really hummmmmmmm........., no words can describe my feelings when i saw the gift that i received tis afternoon. So i can't keep to myself, i have to share it with u alls. Share pictures only....hehehe .

The keikhlasan can be seen in the gift itself. She have really taken all the trouble & effort to stitched tis beautiful gifts for me. I tot that i will just be getting a stitched needlebook & a fob from Index but no, i also got a biscournu, a cube & a 'small' pillow. To top it all, they were all stitched with sunflowers designs. My favourites. Thank u, Thank u so much Index dear. Oh, and not forgetting, other wonderful gifts.

Index, till now, my doter is still 'uuuuuu' & 'aaaaaaa' at the gift. She have asked me to thank u too. Why? For giving her mum such beautiful gift. And motivate her to give her mum a more beautiful gift.

Finally, i manage to start stitching the Bathroom Trio for my sister. It took me 5 days to complete just 1 picture (backstitch not completed. hehehe), when the mag says it takes only 20 hours to complete the whole set. Boy! and i have another 2 more to go. Hope to have it all completed before end of May.

This chart is from the CrossStitcher magazine. The designer used soft classic shades as to create the effect of a glamourous Victorian bathroom. It might look a bit dull but it is really beautiful.

Well, will update more when i have completed all three......................

My lil girl's fob

After many attempt in persuading me to part with one of Fobs (i have 5), and failed in doing so, my lil girl decide to do her own fob. Not that Mama is cruel tau (correct word ke). But Mama wants her lil girl to learn to do one for herself, cos i knows she can do it.

So, here is the fob done by my 10 years old girl. Isn't it sweet.(Puji la anak sendiri). Me just helped to join at the beginning and ending. Now she is giving out a big sigh! why? cos her ayah and aunty is asking her to do one for them. And her answer to them was, 'OK, one day....' hehehe.

Surprisingly, my lil girl is also having an xs exchange with her 20year old cousin. It is a piece called Girlfriends Forever. I tot only me have exchanges. hmmmmmmmmmmmm. As the saying goes 'Like mother like daughter'.

Today is Saturday and also my off day for cooking. Always looking forward to Saturdays. hmmmmm.... Since my hubby & son wanted to go to the PC fair at City Square, me took the opportunity to tag along. Not that i have anything to buy at the fair, but ......to go the the 'Apek shop' next door. Actually, i do not have anything to buy too, at 'Apek', just to cuci mata.

But, alas! i end up buying some ribbon and lace which i find will be nice to do bookmarks and pinkeeps. And perhaps might also make a beautiful gift for MDSE. Don't u all think so. Anyway, wudn't make up my mind as to what colours & design to take, as there were about 8 other colours. So bought the same design but different colours. Mayb will get the the other colours. Next time????????? hehehe.

Also found some nice colourful buttons. According to Apek, its rejected stock. Since i wudn't see much defects on the buttons and as it was only rm2/- per packet (ahem! still within budget), i ended up buying the last 2 colourful packets.

Anyway, very happy, as i only spend less than rm20/- today for my purchases.

My latest WIP that is bout to be completed. A bit more stitches & after that will be the backstitch. And Walaaaaaa! complete. Hope to have it completed by tomorrow. For those who have stitched/or seen tis chart, I have acutally put in a butterfly instead of sewing the flower on both the right n left side.

A Very Gud Friday........

6th April was Gud Friday. And indeed it was a gud friday for me, not that i celebrate Gud friday, but bcos i received my xs mags n a little bit of tis & that(for my needlework) from my sister. Thanks Sis, for sponsoring my xs mags monthly.

At last my own Blog. Am i dreaming? Have told myself many a times, maybe a hundred times, no blogs for me. It wud mean spending more time in front of the PC if i have a blog.
