Hmmmmmmm! Do not know why i just do not have the mood to do any xs stitching. Hope that tis 'no mood virus' will go away soon as i have to continue my SAL. And other wipssssss and exchanges. Syukur, i manage to finish the cube excen before being struck by the virus. hehehe.
Since i can't do any stitching, i decide to crochet. I love to crochet. Just started a piece of doily tis morning. Hope to complete by tomorrow. I have never tried any other colour threads and other brands. Me, always using white or cream brand minlon. Since someone told me that using DMC thread is also nice (but expensive), i decide to try it out.
there is a different in the thread. Minlon is abit furry compare to DMC, if u know what i mean. if tak tahu, nebermind. hahaha. Neway both threads are nice to crochet.
Here is the uncompleted piece. The blue piece is DMC & the coloured thread is from Minlon.
Will update again, when completed.

Hi Reen,
Two doilies at one go, fantastic. Will be back to see your progress. My circular tablecloth was done in DMC Traditions which was the first time I crochet with something other than Minlon! It was ok! My next HAP is a king size bedspread also in DMC but Petra.
Hi emily. thanks for dropping by. the doilies are rather small ones.
Trying out the 2 diff threads with the same patterns.
wow! u used DMC traditions. how many balls did u use. Me, here is quite difficult to get DMC.
I did once a bedspread during my younger days. will look forward to see yours soon.
Reen, I think maybe a little over 7 balls for the tablecloth. And I think 35 balls of Petra for the bedspread, of which I bought 25 already. Hope they dont run out of my color!
Wow! emily, the store owner sure happy skali u buy 25 balls. the pic is at your blog isn't it. i think i have that pattern also.
Petra is a smaller ball then the traditional isn't it. is there also a different between petra & traditional.
Yes, Petra is wool and Traditions is thread. I bought Petra from two sources, first was from Adeline's shop in Amcorp Mall, PJ at RM26.00 per ball and the second batch is from Sin Wah(or Mah) in old town, Petaling Jaya - at RM24.25! and they have other colors of Petra at RM18.90. The green color which I am using is from new stock.
thanks emily for the info.
